Leave the green belt alone!
Build up instead of sprawling into the greenbelt, which will mean more cars on the road adding to congestion & pollution.
I live in Toronto, why not provide financial incentives for adding storeys to the MYRIAD of existing 2 storey buildings that line so many of our main streets. Take a page from European cities!
