I am deeply disappointed…

I am deeply disappointed that the government is considering removing valuable farm land from green belt protection. We saw in the early days of Covid how countries, including our large neighbour to the south, became protectionist. We need a good local food source and not rely solely on other countries to provide it.
The reason for this land grab appears to be a dearth of affordable housing. However it is doubtful whether any houses that maybe built on this land will be affordable enough and certainly won’t provide rental accommodation that is desperately needed.
This government has let the people down and is catering to a few rich developers. It’s such a shame they haven’t used their power for good!
