The Ford Government repeatedly promised to protect the Greenbelt and not remove lands yet now are proposing to remove 7400 acres.
I believe in the importance of permanently protecting lands and waters within the Greenbelt and I am not alone. In 2020, the Greenbelt Foundation found that 84% of Ontarians consider the greenbelt a source of pride and 86% of Ontarians agree that it is one of the most important contributions of our generation to the future of Ontario. We do not need to remove this land to build more housing as there is sufficient land already
Reverse this proposed action and protect Ontario and its people.
