I do not like liars. The Ford government said they "heard" Ontarians, and would not to touch the Greenbelt: they lied. I have zero trust in our provincial government.
I live in a Greenbelt community. The GTA is not (relatively) successful only because of it's economy. It's also because of our natural assets and our people. These latter two have been sold out for the former, and for friends of those who hold significant economic and political power in our province.
Local food can help keep grocery costs down during recession, but the wealthiest Ontarians - of the economic and political class- don't care. This bill is not what's best for Ontarians during this record high inflation: it's what's best for those who rarely feel the pinch of inflation on daily life.
