Once the green belt is…

Once the green belt is opened to development, I am afraid that there will be no end to the sectioning off of land until there is nothing left.

What is the point of designating land off limits to development and declaring it protected if it can be changed and altered, seemingly without any logic applied.

It is understood that more housing is needed but this can be accomplished in a more effective manner by using existing land slated for development and by developing within urban boundaries. All of this without depriving future generations of significant greenspace.

The sprawling development of rowhouses as far as the eye can see is my idea of a distopian hellscape that I hope never have to gaze upon.
