I am hoping there is still time to say that I do not agree with Bill 23. It is shocking to know that Mr. Ford and several developers are so oblivious to what they are doing to our precious environment here in Ontario. You cannot just level the land and kill off all nature to get your big bucks. Firstly, this is not going to solve the housing deficit because the sites are too far from the city centre. My gut says that these homes will be big in order to bring in big money. That is not going to help the people who cannot afford a home now.
What this will do to our nature is unacceptable. It is very clear, the more ecosystems you take away and pave over, build on, the less land that helps our climate crisis. We will have more flooding and less authorities to work to prevent them with this bill. How someone can put a love of money over our own existence is beyond me. Does he not consider the fate of his own kids and their kids?????
