The World is facing Hunger.
As climate change and fertile land loss wreak havoc on us, it is beyond comprehension and beyond sanity that our politicians want to compound the problem.
Right now, today, we have reasonable food security. A few years from now we may not!
To build and pave over any of the absolute BEST Farmland in this country is Criminal!! Those who invested in these lands for financial gain took a gamble and are trying to influence government decisions for short term profit while damaging the Long Term food security of Ontario.
Not one single hectare should be given up from our green belt. It is a priceless public trust and must not be sacrificed by politicians for the short term gain of a few ‘friends’ against enormous long term public benefits for Ontario.
