Hi, I am a grade 8 student at A.R Kaufman public school.
I have a few concerns regarding the development of the greenbelt.
The greenbelt is a great recreational area, a home for many animals and a great way to preserve our environment.
Once we start developing into the greenbelt and takeaway from our natural environment we cannot get that land back. Although houses are the “ideal” lifestyle, it would be much smarter to build apartment buildings to save space and preserve our natural environment. The greenbelt has been a building ecosystem for years and relocation would have to restart that process. Taking the existing ecosystem and attempting to move it could result to underpopulation of the living environment. In my opinions above that is why we shouldn’t develop the greenbelt.
