Please reconsider your redesignation plan! Once farmland and greenspace is gone, it will be gone forever. Niagara area residents rely on greenspaces, and the crops they produce. The housing crisis is not about the million dollar homes that will be built; we have seen the Niagara area being bought up, even during the years of covid. The underprivileged and those reliant on social systems are the worst hit, and the most needy when it comes to housing. Many have lost their homes or rental apts because they lost their job during covid; they need help NOW, not in the next decade. Your plans don't seem to include this sector of the population. I volunteer regularly with those in Niagara that require food and clothing assistance, so I am familiar with their needs and situations.
Please give them a decent chance!!!
