The Green Belt has benefited Ontarian' lives with providing stable food source and protecting the environment. Thus, the proposed amendments to covert so much land into development area should be taken with precaution and much thoughts. Personally, I am against such a proposed amendment. There are many options, e.g. creating denser neighbours, rezoning etc, to increase housing supply without eating into the Green Belt.
I am afraid this proposed amendments will benefit land speculators more than our fellow Ontarian.
