York and Durham regions are where the majority of the lands to be taken out of the Greenbelt. York and Durham have already given up large tracts of land to development of urban sprawl in the way of single house dwellings on small lots. There is no more land that should be released to development when so much that has been recently developed shows so little thought to increasing density on land already under development. We do not have the right to speak on behalf of future generations living in the area when it comes to paving over valuable habitat and farmland. Stop the sprawl, increase the density. Increase and protect the Greenbelt. We must foster and support better ways of living with the land we have.
