This proposal is ecologically irresponsible and I, as a lifelong Ontario resident and Canadian citizen, am strongly opposed to it. The Greenbelt provides vital ecosystem services to humans and reducing it could incur economic costs for us, not to mention loss of habitat and well-being for other species. While the housing crisis affects me directly, this proposal is not an acceptable solution.
