Without infrastructure…

Without infrastructure adding more houses will overload sewer/water mains, cause major impacts on traffic and public transportation. Bill 23 removed developer fees which pay for things like this and offloaded it onto municipalities. It also allows developers to build on flood plains or change grading which will negatively impact existing developed areas. When these areas were added to the Greenbelt it was for many reasons including to protect wildlife. The urban sprawl associated with bill 23 will only benefit the developers. Everyone who buys a property there will be facing increased municipal taxes due to the flaws in Bill 23. Itt needs to be amended if not completely repealed. Another example and soon to be textbook case of mismanagement by a Provincial Government.
