This is a horrifying movement backwards for us. These ecosystems are essential for the wellbeing of our province. Not only that but our children need access to greenspaces that are not centered in a city. So many children suffer from nature deficit disorder and after years of being trapped inside from COVID, the best thing for them is to spend time in nature. Mental wellbeing and greenspaces go hand in hand and if we forget that and develop everything we will be left with poorer air quality, light pollution, and an exponential increase in mental illness and disorders. For the children of today and tomorrow I do not support this bill.
