I am a proud citizen of Hamilton Ontario and a nature enthusiast. I enjoy hiking the approximately 10,000 km of trails in the green belt. I also understand the realistic pressures of housing in the GTA. That being said I completely disagree with this proposal to go against the Greenbelt act to take away what little protected land we have here. Do not take away any more southern Ontario farmland! Do not ruin what little air quality we have! Do not disrupt any more wildlife! Do not risk our water quality! Do not disturb this sanctuary of protected land! Ontarians DO NOT want a swiss cheese greenbelt! There are plenty of northern ontario comminuties that want and desperately need expansion. Build there! Put population where we need it, save northern economies.
