Building in these areas will reduce farmland, increase chances of flooding and take away areas used for recreation while benefiting just a handful of developers. Building on the green belt further increases urban sprawl something this province should be looking at decreasing not increasing. Affordable housing is needed, allowing a handful of developers to build on the green belt will likely increase single dwelling homes which will not help to elevate the strain people are under to find affordable housing options. Keep your promise Ford and leave the green belt alone!
