While this plan seems like a simple response to the housing crisis (ie. We must build more homes for our growing populace) the execution of this is I'll suited to provide a future foundation of housing. If the precedent is set that we must reallocate sensitive green areas for housing then the solution in years to come will always be aggressive urban sprawl. This hurts our environment and will in turn have horrible environmental effects.

With regards to the lack of housing and more importantly affordable housing. There should be much more consideration for quelling the rising rent and purchasing costs. There are hundreds of structures with housing available, even in the GTA alone where housing has become the largest issue. The only reason they do not become filled is due to the extremely high cost of renting and buying.

It is incredibly distressing for me to see folks trying to find places to live when the immediate stop gap for them is greed. How has this gone on where even smaller cities and towns are seeing insanely high increases of costs while the average income barely increases. It is shameful to assume that just building more houses is a fair solution. What about the people who can't afford them in the first place? This artificially inflated market is not going to be solved by building more unaffordable housing, it must be stopped by creating a more equitable system for a populace that is struggling under the inhumane greed and disregard from those in power, whether it be the unpopular provincial government or the private institutions capitalizing off of our lack of power.
