The proposed changes dramatically degrade Ontario’s environmental protections and set a dangerous precedent for disregarding long-term environment impacts in favour of short-term gains. Yes, we need to increase our housing, but not at the expense of our long-standing, protected natural zones. These areas must be safeguarded for future generations and for the wildlife who call them home.

Please, do not put human needs before the environment. We have already done enough damage to Ontario’s forests and natural areas. Instead, continue to increase density in urban and suburban areas through multi-unit construction.

Your grandchildren will thank you for preserving these spaces and protecting our planet.
