I am in disbelief that in 2022, our government would believe that something so foolhardy and shortsighted as building on the greenbelt would be a wise plan. Did you consult *anyone* with environmental knowledge at all? There is plenty of space to build housing that is AFFORDABLE, sustainable and solid without destroying the vital ecology that sustains our water, air and land for generations to come. In this catastrophic climate crisis, we must think environment FIRST or we will surely kill ourselves. Profit cannot be our only goal.

We are not fools and we don’t buy your line that this plan will create housing for those who most need it. This plan will build on vital land that cannot be replaced, only to create houses for a middle class that doesn’t need it. Please wake up!
