As a 30 year resident of Pickering, I implore you not to touch the Greenbelt in Pickering/Markham just north of Rouge Urban Park. This land should be preserved for future generations. It is premium farm land which cannot substituted for the same quality land somewhere further afield.
Our children deserve to enjoy the wetlands, with it’s abundant natural beauty and wildlife as well as have agricultural land nearby to provide a local food supply. We/they don’t need to worry that our precious Rouge forest will be damaged being downstream from major construction projects. This government is corrupt in the handing over these precious lands to already wealthy developers. Too many back room deals. Shame on Ford 😠
It’s a shame there were so many uninformed voters. It won’t happen next election.
