This comment on your summary makes it sound like you are doing Municipalities a favour by removing their “burden”. In fact you are robbing the public of their democratic right to have a voice.

The addition of the Paris Galt lands should not be considered an “addition”, they should be protected anyway. Taking green space away from more heavily populated areas and substituting it for lands in the middle of nowhere is a very poor substitute. The populated areas need to have green space.

It is clear that this bill is to give developers even more cash in their greedy hands while the voices of the people are being ignored. This is NOT democracy. Shame on the Ford Government for not keeping their word!

What about farmland?
What about flood control?
What about the health of our waterways?
What about hiking trails?
What about wildlife?
Do none if these matter to this government?
There is land available within the GTA. Infill should be the first option.
Why do all the new immigrants have to come to the GTA or the Niagara/Hamilton area?
Why has the government allowed uncontrolled airbnb to use thousands of homes for a service already provided by hotels?

Let’s be more creative and build AFFORDABLE housing where there is already land available.
