This is an important issue to comment on. As a citizen of Ontario, I am opposed to touching any part of the Greenbelt for single use housing. Southern Ontario has the best agricultural land in Canada and we cannot depend on foreign imports for all our food needs. In addition, natural forests and needed to protect endangered species and to protect the environment in general. The current government does not have the environment on its political radar and it should. Yes we need housing but we need a better housing policy and immigration policy (which is Federal responsibility).

The workforce and resources required to build all these single-family dwellings is not large enough to meet the goals the government wants.

We need more study to do this the correct way. Building quickly, cheaply will result in poor-built housing that will not last with major repairs ins short order. Developers do not the have interest of the Province at large. Politicians are suppose to have the interest on Ontarians as I expect them to do so on Bill 23.
