Doug Ford's proposal to rezone the greenbelt in Ontario is a bad idea because it would lead to the destruction of vital natural habitats and wildlife, as well as irreparable damage to the environment. It would also increase urban sprawl, resulting in the unnecessary consumption of additional resources such as water and energy, and put more pressure on already crowded infrastructure such as roads and public transit. Long-term, it could have a devastating effect on the health and well-being of Ontarians.
