I am extremely opposed to this plan. These lands are in the Greenbelt because they were identified as critical land to be protected by a prior government. The ecological status of this land has not changed. The attitudes of the government towards environmental protections have changed. Removing protections from ecologically significant land in the age of the climate crisis is very short sighted. Quality agricultural land will be essential in cultivating resilient food systems in the coming decades and reallocating Greenbelt land elsewhere is not inkeeping with the objective of the Greenbelt. Please practice better planning in existing land that is available for development (up not out) so we do not need to sacrifice any more green space or agricultural land. Thank you
