I am very opposed to the changes that would be brought by Bill 23. The Green Belt should be protected. There is no need to permit housing development on the Green Belt. Smart planning that involves densification of our urban areas will create more livable cities, increasing housing availability while protecting the environment. Bill 23 is promoting Urban Sprawl. This is not smart growth. Please amend this bill. The changes it will bring about will cause irreversible harm to our green spaces, and will not improve the living standards in Ontario. We need smart growth with denser development in our cities, not more urban sprawl.
