I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed removal of lands from the Greenbelt. There has been no evidence presented that opening these lands will solve the issue of a housing shortage, but to the contrary, that it is not necessary. This proposal appears to be made with very little information or evidence that it is the best path forward. I urge the government to reconsider this proposal and to think creatively while considering environment, sustainability, future generations in their decision making.
