I plead with Mr. Ford and the many voices that we are hearing across the country who ridicule the federal government for legislation that seeks to be responsible with the environment we live in. Please think out and look at the bigger picture. While the pursuit of some personal pleasures is compromised by intelligent and responsible restraints, those restraints are crucial to the survival of our species. Look at the evidence that shows the results of our environmental abuse. It is abundant and available. The carbon dioxide content of our atmosphere is on its way to where it will annihilate our species in not too distant future generations, It is unmistakeably the result of industrialized human activity.
I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
