These proposed changes to mining regulations will create a disaster in Northern Ontario, unfortunately not in Mr. Ford's lifetime.
Proposing that the Minister have powers to override decisions made by experts in the rehabilitation of mining sites will become a natural disaster for northern Ontario residents and Idigenious peoples.
Does the Minister and his "friends" have the qualifications and education to be making decisions in regards to mining. Is he a geologist and does he have an education in environmental science?
This is our Premier once again making terrible decisions for our environment to line the pockets of his friends.
I think Ford's days are numbered in office. Even those working in the mining industry are chilled by this proposal.
