The proposed rule changes would unfairly dismiss claims for unnecessary noise pollution caused by the wineries. Many of which use loud explosives, i.e. propane blasts directed to residential areas without consideration to the current guidelines. Residences suffering under such conditions must be heard and deserve a peaceful life-style. This public right must be strengthened and not be dismissed or eliminated, as proposed.
Our neighborhood is suffering greatly due to the ongoing and unrelentless cannon blasts, emanating from the surrounding 4 or 5 vineyards at 3rd Line and Niagara River Parkway. As we are certain there exist some 20 vineyards in Niagara, causing the same nuisance noise to the residential neighbours.
We disagree with the proposed changes to policy #019-6674.
