I vehemently oppose the proposal to cancel Cap and Trade. Given the current state of climate change and the benefits of green energies and industries to the province of Ontario and residents of the province, it is imperative that we adhere to plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to support energies and industries that help us do so. Additionally, Cap & Trade is intended to fund programs to help other services, like schools and hospitals, and residents improve the efficiency of their offices, buildings and homes. All of these are meaningful and effective actions to fight climate change. Polluters and CO2 emitters should be held accountable and financially responsible for the pollution they create, not everyday Ontarians.
