I am very concerned about the direction in this PPS. The measures outlined are not required in order to meet the need for more affordable housing, but will create other problems. The plan outlined here will allow municipalities to develop using patterns of suburban sprawl that represent an outdated and harmful approach to development.
I urge the government to listen to environmental organizations like the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition and re-consider the direction outlined in this PPS.
