Do NOT repeal this Act or cancel the cap and trade program.

Climate change is real and it’s happening. We did not have summers like this past one 20 years ago. 30c used to be a hot day, and this year, I can’t even count how many 40c days we had.

Developed nations like Canada and its most populated provinces like Ontario need to put (and keep) in place regulations to force industry to make better choices when it comes to the health of our planet and our children’s future. Smarter, more efficient operations are possible. Reward those who make it happen, penalize those who choose not to change.

I repeat, DO NOT REPEAL THIS ACT or wind down the program. Act with vision and the interests of pur citizens in mind, not with a greedy shortsighted approach. Businesses and capitalism as a whole WILL pressure government into the cheapest, easiest-for-them-to-profit option. Do NOT give in. Set the bar high. Demand better for our province.
