Cancelling Ontario's cap and trade legislation is the most irresponsible thing I can imagine our government doing. This is a step backwards. If you think cap and trade is going to hurt our economy just wait until the full costs of climate change mitigation and adaptation hit us. The only way for our province to thrive is for us to be innovative and move forward, instead of pretending nothing's wrong. I live in Ottawa, where we've had droughts 3 out of the past 5 years, record heat waves, massive flooding in the past 3 years, and we're recently hit by not one but 3 tornadoes. Sticking with cap and trade is the very LEAST our government can do. Shame on you for even considering scrapping it!
