Do not repeal cap and trade. It is a program that has been proven to work in other jurisdictions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions AND stimulate the economy. While conservative governments may not care about the former, they care greatly about the latter.
Scientific consensus overwhelmingly supports that climate change is real and that we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to slow climate change. Evidence also proves that cap and trade and carbon tax programs work as intended. Any attempt to remove and program that works without anything to replace it is shortsighted and damaging.
Ending cap and trade is not For The People. Not even a little bit.
