Streamlining is a nice word, but in this case, it means disregarding the seriously important measure to assess the risk taking for "water taking" permits. To allow developers to "self regulate" is appalling. The government (a government which genuinely cares for our environment, our precious water and our green spaces including farmlands) should never allow "self regulating". That is like allowing an alcoholic to sit in front of a liquor cabinet and self-regulate in liquor consumption. Please DO NOT move forward with this streamlining permission for construction. No one in the business of making money should be allowed to take our water. This water belongs to ALL Ontario citizens.
