Please do not proceed with this proposal. Conservation authorities cannot manage water levels if they are unaware of potential water-taking projects. I live in a region that is predicted to have high population growth and significant water quantity pressures in the near future, especially with climate change unpredictability factored in. The large volumes that can be extracted per project have the potential to cause significant cumulative impact; government and conservation authorities will be unaware of the total volume and local residents and the environment will be left coping with the consequences of poor management.
