This proposal comes in the wake of the damage done in the Brenntag fire, where runoff chemicals got into the sewers and polluted the Mimico creek. It suggests the solution is removing the approval process to replace it with a self service system, rather than adding better protections against these sorts of incidents. This is literally the opposite of what should be happening. It is irresponsible and will cause long term health and ecological problems.
