I am strongly in support of a provincial park in the Township of Uxbridge, but I am concerned that a recreational use park may involve activities that are detrimental to the area. I would specifically like to ensure that motorized vehicles would not be allowed in the park (except for access, of course). I am also concerned about the risk of fires, and would like to suggest that the park allow day use only (no overnight camping) and that campfires be either prohibited or very strictly limited to 'safe' areas and that monitoring for fire risks be stringently observed. Finally, where possible, trails for mountain biking should be separated from hiking trails, as the mixed use of these trails can pose risks to both types of users.
