The fact that a company can come and process this application with the province and our own city councillors and townspeople don't even get notice until over a year later is atrocious. Dresden is a well known agricultural community that supports local business and a welcoming small town feel. We don't want trucks coming 24/7 with leaching into the local river where many species call home. This should open the eyes not only to York1 but the provincial and federal government to rewrite current laws concerning where and how a landfill should be constructed and operated. There are plenty of other places to put one where it would not damage a great small town community and their businesses or local wildlife. Do better.
