We are shocked and anxious about the application for a Category 3 water taking which states: "anticipated to have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference", and just as worried that this is just a way to get the application in and then ask for a reduced risk if Category 3 is denied!
Please do not seriously consider granting this application as it will have serious impacts on our well water supply, and that of our neighbours. Even if they lower the application to a level 1, I would object.
I feel that the initial application to OLT for aggregate extraction did not adequately represent the water danger aspect of the pit location as it ignored the independent hydrogeological assessments presented to the township by the group representing the residents of Maryhill.
I also oppose this because historically wells drilled for new subdivision purposes in Maryhill caused private wells to be dried up and individuals had to dig new deeper wells. I cannot even imagine how detrimental taking up to "per day (litres): 6,900,000" would be for the entire village.
The tribunal report indicated "subject property in predominantly rural area" also indicated "it is 250 meters from the village, which is a small rural village", does this mean that we don't matter? That the water impact to us, does not matter? That the lives of approx. 600 people do not matter!?

Please review the article in The Record, link below.

Please do NOT grant water extraction at any level at this site.
Thank you
