The original Region of…

The original Region of Waterloo Official Plan, approved in August 2022 should be restored. Does the countless hours of work by staff at all levels of municipal government as well as ubmissions by citizens mean anything? Or does the contributions of major businesses in this province mean everything?

We need to ensure that the water recharge areas be protected (see attached map). Waterloo Region gets the majority of their water from groundwater, a necessity for living in this area, not to mention the need of citizens to have nature in their lives.

Further development outside of our August 2022 approved Official Plan could jeopardize our water.

We know what is best for our quality of life. What is better: money in the hands of a few or water for the citizens of our region?
