Re. The Weston Downs Ratepayers Association meeting regarding the approval of 4 , 32+ story apt. buildings at Langstaff and HWY 400.
1. That area already has significant traffic congestion. The daily commute would be unbearable.
2. Inappropriate use of MZO doesn’t inspire confidence in a fair and equitable local government. There are at least 15 other projects that have approval and the shovels aren’t in the ground yet.
3. York Region had identified this site as an area of concern due to high water table conditions- Florida apartment building that imploded. At least make sure the environmental study is done so that the Florida experience would not happen here. Imagine the person that signed off on that. How could you live with yourself?
