First of all let me state that I oppose trapping wildlife of any kind. However, I am not sure why you are making these changes without publishing the research that you are referring to on the ERO page. Why not back yup your claims and show the public when you ask them to comment? To base your "research" on findings by the fur industry is in my opinion a sham. The Agreement of International Humane Trapping Standards does not certify snare traps and I really expect Ontario to follow these guidelines, and to ban snares entirely as most of the western countries already have done. To hide behind farmers and pretending to care about their animals is just absurd.
Please rethink these changes and value our wildlife, not just for hunting, but for the beauty and the bio diversity they bring to a healthy planet and a healthy and beautiful province.
