Heico 2004 Member, Inc. as the general partner for and on behalf of Ivaco Rolling Mills 2004 L.P. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 9151-8VDQQH for Heico 2004 Member, Inc. as the general partner for and on behalf of Ivaco Rolling Mills 2004 L.P.,, a electric arc furnace steelmaking facility located in L'Orignal, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that exhaust to the air include an electric arc furnace equipped with a baghouse, natural gas fired furnace, and baghouses.

The amendment includes update facility design to reduce noise emissions in accordance with the noise abatement plan.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• nitrogen oxides
• particulate matter
• calcium oxide
• metal such as iron, lead and manganese
• noise

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air).

The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
