This proposal, part of a multi-media Environmental Compliance Approval application, is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) No. 4479-92MS2T for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc., a vehicle assembly facility located in the City of Cambridge, Ontario.
The emission sources from the assembling and associated processes that exhaust to the air include: boilers, ovens, emission control devices, welding, paint spray booths, and incinerators. Emissions to the air from this facility include:
- ethyl-3-ethoxyproprionate
- nitrogen oxides
- 2-butoxy ethanol
- trimethylbenzenes
- 2-ethyl hexanol
- ethylene glycol
- mono-2-ethylhexyl ether
- benzene
- particulate matter
- nitrogen oxides
- sulphur oxides
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility, when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility. The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
