Truly Green Farms Ltd. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (M&P sewage) for stormwater management works serving the Truly Green Farms Greenhouse development site, located at 162 Bloomfield Road located in Chatham, Ontario.

This application is for a new wet pond stormwater management facility, discharging to surface waters via Lake St. Clair. The stormwater management works consist of the following:

• roof water drainage pipe systems, swales, and on-site storm sewers, discharging roof top runoff and other surface runoff to stormwater detention pond;
• one stormwater management detention/wet pond having an active storage volume of 13,260.9 cubic metres with a maximum active water depth of 2.26 metres for the 1:100-year storm event, discharging a maximum total release rate of 418 litres per second into the Payne and Backus Drain;
• one irrigation/stormwater management reservoir is designed to be built in the future. It will collect roof water and be used for irrigation purposes of the crops;
• one emergency overflow spillway directed to the Payne and Backus Drain;
• one outlet structure containing a 375 millimetres diametres outlet pipe, flap gate and containment valve.
