Effets de la consultation

Eight (8) comments were received in response to the Environmental Registry notice. Many of the same comments were received by the same individuals through the ARA consultation process.

Nineteen (19) letters of objection were received in response to the Aggregate Resources Act consultation process.  Objections were related to hydrogeological concerns, natural environment concerns, impacts to surrounding wetlands, endangered species, traffic, noise, dust, loss of agricultural lands, rehabilitation, property values, hours of operation and clarification to the site plans.

The applicant addressed the objections by providing additional technical information, and through revisions to the site plan.  As all objections were withdrawn prior to a hearing of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, the application was referred back to MNRF for a decision.

Appeal process for decisions published before June 1, 2021

If you’re an Ontario resident, you can start the process to appeal this instrument decision.

First, you’ll need to seek leave (i.e. get permission) from the relevant appellate body to appeal the decision.
