I view the action to cancel the Cap and Trade act as wildly IRRESPONSIBLE at best in these times of debilitating climate change. Please reconsider your electorate and the planet's future and not just votes.
This reversal is disappointing and short-sighted. New science presented through the UN indicates that combatting climate change is no longer a choice governments can make depending on their economic whims. It is vital that we take action now.

I think that the Ontario government needs to address climate change by putting a price on carbon. If the PC actually believe in a free market principles then a Cap & Trade would be a fair approach. I personally think a tax would be better but that is just me.
Given the recent international report about the problems the world is facing as our climate changes, I am deeply concerned about this Act. Plesse reconsider. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, we should be supporting a carbon tax.
The world is clearly changing. Just look at the amount of tropical storms and hurricanes that hit the world this year. Or the fact that now we can ship through the Arctic! The fact is we are the plague that is making this planet sick.

I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions in line with our obligations to the Paris accord. You should focus on job creation and investment in the clean economy. It's the sector of our future so do not neglect it.
Canada is a country with a cold climate. It is easy for Canadians to accept what is euphemistically called Global warming. A couple of degrees warmer weather in winter might even be welcomed … in Canada. People in warmer climates have been deeply concerned about how things are heating up globally.
