I am a member of the Architectural Conservancy organization and support their claims regarding the terrible aspects of this bill. I am firmly opposed to the Conservative view that always puts a dollar sign on our environment.

Bill 66 should not remove the protection of the Planning Act and Provincial Policy Statements for significant built heritage resources and significant cultural landscapes anywhere in the province. Heritage buildings are an important part of the province's heritage.

As an Ontario resident, I am proud of the regulations that we have in place, which protect our natural heritage, including waterways, such as the Great Lakes, Lake Simcoe and other watercourses and groundwater upon which we depend for survival.

The lands under review (mostly the Greenbelt) are there to protect our environmental future. This includes the future of our water and food supplies. They are needed for the well-being of all citizens.

I am a citizen of toronto I oppose and am very concerned about the schedule 10 amendments and thier potential to degrade the already minimized green belt.
