I hunt in WMU 42. Hunted there before any roads and still walk the bush. I hunt for a week and still see about 10 moose per year. Hardly anyone walks the bush any more. The problem in my area is the clear cuts. The moose get slaughtered there. Lire davantage

Over harvest of calves is a fallacy. I have hunted moose since grade 8. I am now 65 yrs and although I have lived in central and southern Ont most of my life I lived in NW Ontario 12 years as well. In all those years I only harvested 3 calves! Lire davantage

This has to be the most complicated process in history.Why not keep things simple like they do in Que. 2 licences on a moose. Rotate what can be shot over a 3 year period. I have been hunting in Que and this system wprks. If need be in certain WLM's make it 3/4 on a moose.
